Sun TV + Manirathnam = Ponniyin Selvan

For a long, making Ponniyin Selvan as a movie has been the dream of many film makers of Tamil, including Kamal Haasan and Mani Rathnam. There are innumerable interviews from these two where they said that they want to make this happen. But then, its actually Mani Rathnam who is going to do this. The funding is done by none other than the most popular film makers of south, SUN TV.

The cast is not yet decided but then it is hugely believed that Mahesh Babu and Vikram would take the lead roles. Jeyakanthan has been paid a bomb of 2C for the script B-)

Kamal Haasan’s next with Aascar Ravichandran

Its been told that on diwali, Aascar Ravichandran who had couple of success with Universal Hero Kamal Haasan by releasing Vettaiyadu Villaiyadu and by producing Dasavatharam, would be announcing their next project. This will be a high budget movie. If sources are to be believed, this will be a commercial movie and would have Mohanlal, Suriya and Ravi Teja alongside Kamal Haasan.

This could be co-produced by one of the kalaigar family producers as we believe

Manmathan Ambu Audio to Release on November 20

The audio launch of the movie Man-Mathan-Ambu, starring Universal Hero Kamal Haasan, Madhavan and Trisha, is scheduled to be on November 20^th in Singapore in a cruise ship. The entire crew will be there and 500 lucky fans would get a chance to enter into the shipJ ! Well, if you are not down with that, Devi Sri Prasad is going to perform all the songs live on stage for the audience. That’s amazing.

DSP may not be as popular as ARR or Yuvan or Harris but he is up with the man who could extract nothing less than the best. Hope to see some thing amazing from the man who would otherwise be giving bullet beats J. After all he rocked in BGM in Dasavatharam, an all time blockbuster from the same team.

Man Mathan Ambu Release date December 17th

From the team that gave blockbusters like Avvai Shanmugi, Tenali and Dasavatharam(and the super hit Panchathanthram), here comes yet another high-budget extravagant attempt: a movie shot predominantly in cruise ship and overseas locations where the ship travels. It, without a shadow of doubt, a holiday tour for the crew member and their family, and the producer believes to make huge money from it.

The main reason for this is the unbelievable overseas market being enjoyed by Kamal Haasan. His Dasavatharam, grossed over 100Crores overseas, and is the first movie to do so. As a matter of fact, its overseas gross has crossed the overall gross of Shivaji, which was previously holding the record for over all gross. Given that, and given the fact that movie is shot in a ship, and various locations in Europe, the producer could get huge profit from the over seas sale, provided he builds the enough hype. The red one digital camera will not miss even smallest possible beauty in these hot locations.
The movie is to hit the screen in December 17^th 2010, and would get much needed benefit from US market where there will be thanks giving holiday. The momentum would be carried to the second week because of Christmas holidays and the third weekend with New YearJ. Are we all set to see yet another blockbuster in making? Wait till December 17^th if you are a pessimist while the optimist knew that we are!!
